This year the Welsh International Walking Festival at Llanwrtyd Wells is twinned with English International Walking Festival at Langport Somerset. This twinned festival is the first of its kind. Over the coming years it is hoped to include festivals in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Eire, eventually creating a series of five truly international walking events.
You are never far from a great walk in Conwy…
Each day there will be a choice of all day walks, some of which will incorporate a pub lunch; and of half day walks with a theme such as churches, natural history or geology. There will also be a short town history/architectural walk designed for families.
Whether you’re fascinated by history or nature, enjoy a challenge or a gentle stroll there is a walk to suit everyone. The long distance challenge of almost 32 miles, spanning the three days starts in Denbigh on the Friday, takes in Llanrhaeadr, and Clocaenog and ends at Llyn Brenig on the Sunday afternoon. Or if you prefer there are easy, short walks in and around historic Denbigh town and at Llyn Brenig, or step back in time with an archaeologist at the iron age Penycloddiau hillfort.
The festival gives walkers of all abilities the opportunity to enjoy eight days of guided walks around the beautiful Mawddach Estuary and Southern Snowdonia.
This year's festival programme features a host of new walks that encompass the beautiful Teifi Estuary.
There is a selection of walks which will appeal to everyone, ranging from the strenuous to the more relaxed family walks

This walking festival is set to capture the imagination of walkers from all over the UK and internationally. The festival being held this autumn is centred on the Snowdonia gateway village of Betws-y-Coed. There will be some 20 walks organised over a variety of distances and gradients, from 3 miles for the novice, to a 15 mile trek for the experienced hill walker.
Waterfalls, woodland and wonderful views await you at the fourth Wales Valleys Walking Festival this September.
The Llyn Walking Festival is aiming to promote the fantastic walking opportunities in the area with a weekend of events. Saturday's programme centres around Aberdaron, near the tip of the peninsula, with walks exploring the local coast and countryside, an introduction to geocaching and a beach party in the evening. Sunday's walks are around the volcanic hill of Garn Fadryn in the centre of the peninsula
